Dunham-on-Trent Primary PFA are delighted to announce an Autumn Family Boogie. The event is for all students, parents/carers of Dunham on Trent Primary school, Fledgelings Pre-School, as well as local villages and the wider community.

Saying goodbye to our leavers

It’s always an emotional time when we say goodbye to our wonderful leavers. We had a lovely day; mini sports day, family picnic and a little presentation to give these gorgeous medals made by local business Pintail Studio An emotional afternoon but we know the children are more than ready to start their next chapter in their learning journey.

New Music wall!

We have been busy making some changes, with the help of our little ones! Including this fantastic music wall and bench renovation. We’ve even managed to fill a skip!

DB Animal Theraphy

The children loved our visit from DB Animal Therapy yesterday. They enjoyed handling and petting the different animals and finding out some interesting facts!

Jubilee celebrations

We had a wonderful day celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Thursday. There was some fabulous fancy dress from our mini royals.

Mini Kixx

We are delighted to be able to offer a Mini Kixx session every Wednesday morning this Summer with coach Tom.

We have offered Mini Kixx at Fledgelings before and cant begin to say how much previous children have enjoyed it. It is great for ball control and skills but so much more, listening, following instructions, teamwork, making choices, control, all through different weekly themed games.

Thank you to everyone who donated into our two recent fundraising events. So far with the money raised we have purchased a new mud kitchen, outdoor painting easel, created a fairy garden, bought a new wooden shop and 2 massive bags of playbark to replenish our outdoor area (last done over a couple of years ago so as you can appreciate there wasn't much left). I wanted to let you know how the money has been spent but also to let you know that ever penny does directly go back into the preschool so we are hugely grateful. As you can see the children love our purchases.

Big Easter Raffle

A huge thank you to everybody that supported our Big Easter Raffle. We raised an astonishing £565!

All money raised goes directly to Fledgelings to invest in resources, experiences, the indoor and outdoor environment, supporting initiatives to promote the health and wellbeing of our children and their families and so much more.

There were some amazing prizes won, and we would like to say a special thank you to all of the companies that generously donated to the cause.

Spring time is all about colour, adventures and wildlife and the kids love it!

World book day 2021

We have been going Wild about books at Fledgelings Preschool to celebrate World Book Day 2021. Although we entered into the spirit we absolutely love books all day everyday, the words, the pictures and the magic they bring.

Bird feeders

Thank you so much Hall Farm Wild Bird Supplies for our seed, pine cones and activity packs for the children at Fledgelings during our week of learning about birds. Our feeders are hanging in our Fledgelings garden and we've taken some home too .

Body shop party

On a cold January evening one of our fantastic committee members hosted a body shop party online which raised an amazing £170 for Fledgelings Pre-School. What a brilliant, feel good way to raise money! We will keep you posted about the next event.

Our fantastic Pre-School is looking to recruit a qualified Level 3 practitioner to join our thriving team in a great village setting. We are looking for an experienced practitioner with a professional attitude, passion and the ability to think outside the box in order to deliver the very highest standard of provision. You understand how fundamentally important the Early Years are and want to be part of making our children be the best they can be.

Working a part of a dedicated team with shared responsibilities this is a part time, term time position with days and hours to be agreed - there is a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.

We are committed to safeguarding children and because of the nature of this post, it is subject to an enhanced DBS check. We are adhering to all current Health and Safety and Government guidelines with regards to Covid19 within our recruitment and interviewing arrangements.
